Am I gay if I watch gay porn?
It's normal to question your sexuality, especially if you find yourself drawn to content that doesn't seem to "match" what you think your orientation is. But the truth is, what you watch doesn't necessarily define who you are attracted to.
Sexual orientation is the romantic, physical and/or sexual attraction we feel towards other people (e.g., heterosexual, bisexual, lesbian, gay, pansexual, etc.). It is something we feel inside ourselves and that belongs to us. There are many different sexual orientations, among which we can identify the one that best corresponds to the attraction we feel.
Only you can say what your sexual orientation is, based on the attraction you feel. What you watch as pornography, your sexual behaviors, your partners do not determine your sexual orientation. You may explore your sexuality with a person of the same sex or gender, out of curiosity, because it excites and tempts you, but without necessarily identifying as gay, bisexual, etc.
There are many heterosexual people who will enjoy, prefer, find it (more) exciting to watch gay porn, for all sorts of reasons: the behaviors that are done, the realism, the dynamic between the partners, etc.
So it may be related to one's sexual orientation, but it may not be. It depends on each person!
